Heroine Shikkaku

This is my first (just) manga review, which I decided to do on recently finished Heroine Shikkaku.

There was an extra that had a crossover of Heroine Shikkaku and Hirunaka no Ryuusei, which is how I came to know this manga.

Genres: Shoujo, Romance, Comedy, Drama, School Life
My Rating: 8
Mangaka: Koda Momoko
Released: 2010
Ended: 2014
Chapters: 36

Description: Hatori looks at herself as the heroine in her love story with Rita, her childhood friend. She has always been by his side and plans on staying by his side. Always thinking about being the “good heroine,” Hatori misses her chance to properly confess to Rita and faces reality. With her humorous and outgoing personality, Hatori works towards her goals and shows everyone that not every heroine is perfect.

The childhood friend and crush: Rita…. [Source.]

– I would DEFINITELY recommend this manga because its really funny. It has its ‘doki doki’ and nerve-racking moments like in any other manga, but the biggest upside to the manga is the fact that the protagonist is really comical. Yes, it can be annoying, but sometimes it lightens things up.
– There is a crossover of this manga and Hirunaka no Ryuusei. They both are shoujo, romance manga(s) with eccentric protagonist.
– I felt that these characters were unique compared to other shoujo mangas (mostly the protagonist). There are times when you want to punch one of the guys, or the main girl. It just keeps you on your feet.
– The manga recently ended. TBH I did not love the ending, but probably because I was hoping Hatori would end up with the other guy (the one she didn’t pick). It can be read here.

No words can describe her hilarious-ness/stupidity… x)
