Description: When a nine-year old Ren’s mother passes away, he finds himself running away from his cold relatives and missing father. While fending for himself on the streets of Shibuya, Ren comes across a warrior named Kumatetsu from the spirit realm. Kumatetsu is a candidate for the next Lord, however, he must find a disciple in order to be seriously considered as a candidate. When Ren follows Kumatetsu into the spirit realm, it is decided that Ren will be Kumatetsu’s disciple, despite being human. After moving in with Kumatetsu, Ren takes on the name Kyuta and learns how to adapt to his new home and family.

– Also known as: Bakemono no Ko
– This movie had my heart clenching at the end. I don’t think the ending can be summarized as “good” or “bad” because there’s a lot to the ending.
– Please watch this movie. I highly recommend it.
– And yeah, this description sucks. There was too much to say and absolutely no filter in my head, so instead of spoiling the whole thing, I decided to be vague and quick about it. I’d recommend watching the trailer and clips of the movie to learn more.
– Also… Kyuta vs Kyuuta? I used both versions, but Kyuta seems to be more commonly used.
